What is Ombre tattooing?

Also known as Shaded brows or combination brows when strokes are added to the fronts of the brow, the ombre technique involves a digital method tattoo machine deposit pigment into the skin. This method can be used on all skin types, however it is particularly better for those who have sensitive skin and for those with an oily skin type. It is also particularly beneficial for those that require deeper shading for larger gaps in the brows.This technique can be customised from a much softer finish to a more defined finish depending on the outcome the client desires. This technique also gives us the ability to build more pigment in areas that need it and less pigment to areas with more hair allowing us to create a more even distribution of pigment through the brow. We always will create softer fronts and add more definition towards the arch and tail hence the name ombre.

How long does it last?

Ombre will last 18 months or more and some times up to 24 months. Over that period the pigment throughout the brow will fade down slowly. If you want to keep up the ombre brows you can do a touch up once the pigment has faded right down to become very light. It is different on each client so keep in mind it may last longer on some people compared to others depending on after care and skin type.

Is it painful?
A numbing cream is applied to the area so discomfort is minimal. Clients describe it as a light scratching sensation and once numbing is applied this sensation is very minimal

What pigments do we use?
We use a quality pigment that is of the highest standard and is made purposely for use on human skin. It has no metals or ion oxide.

Consultation

We provide an option to have a consultation as your first appointment with your artist. Our consultation is designed for those who have not had brow shaping treatments with us before or who are unsure if this is a suitable treatment for them. Your artist will discuss in detail with you the colour choice and shape of your brows to determine your desired result. Your artist will also go over what to expect during the procedure and what is required for your aftercare so we can make sure you are a suitable candidate for either cosmetic brow tattoo service. This is the perfect time to ask any other questions you may have. We want our clients to be as comfortable as possible before going ahead with the treatment. .

How long does the tattooing procedure take?

The appointment for ombre brows will take two hours to complete. Your artist will take some before and after photos and measure up your brows. They will go over colour selection and draw on the desired shape which you may have discussed in your initial consult if you chose to have one. Your artist will make sure you are 100% happy with the shape before they go ahead. You will be required to keep the brow area dry for the first 10 days to ensure the area is kept clean and only your after cream is applied which will be provided to you at the end of your appointment.

Your final appointment is 6-8 weeks after your initial tattooing procedure and will require up to 2 hours depending how much touch up is needed. This is a perfection appointment to make any minor touch ups to the depth of colour and or shape. Clients can lose some pigment in some areas of the brows as your body takes on some of the pigment applied. The touch up appointment is essential so that your artist can check the colour and shape and touch up any areas needed.

What to expect during healing process

Ombre brows will appear significantly darker within the first few days post treatment. We recommend not to plan any special events or engagements during the first few days following your appointment. Some clients during the first two weeks of healing will experience some itching and flaking, which is a normal healing response. Clients may experience their brows appearing very light at the two week mark, this again is a normal part of the healing process. It will take the full six to eight weeks for your brows to heal and for the pigment to be its true colour.

Healing Process

After undergoing Brow Tattooing you will most likely experience some healing side effects which are completely normal, so rest at ease these will pass and you will be able to enjoy your beautiful new brows.
